The evil eye bead, sometimes also known as nazar or hamsa (among other names), is a bead or amulet used to ward off evil spirits and protect the wearer from them. It has origins in many middle Eastern & Meditteranean cultures. Today, it is often used decoratively, but also carries protective significance.
An evil eye pendant hangs from a toggle front clasp. The entire chain of the necklace is made up of hand wire-wrapped faceted stones. Choose your color and stone from the menu: seafoam green (amazonite), royal blue (lapis lazuli) or maroon (garnet). The amazonite and pink pendants are enamel and gold-plated; the lapis pendant is glass and gold-plated.
Measures 16.5" and closes with a front-facing antiqued brass toggle clasp. This necklace is very easy to put on and take off, but the weight of the pendant on the toggle clasp ensures that it stays put!
